it amazes me how the greatest (wo)men in the world that were either pilosophers, either inventors, were also mathematicians, writers, composers, politicians, diplomats or human rights activists. it seems so grand to me that they had this unbelievable chance in life to improve it so much more and to share it with others.
During the period of the French Revolution, Rousseau was the most popular of the philosophes among members of the Jacobin Club. Rousseau was interred as a national hero in the Panthéon in Paris, in 1794, 16 years after his death.
