well, hello. “brief” post on the move! hope
plural noun: introverts
a person predominantly concerned with their own thoughts and feelings rather than with external things
It’s like a quiet, but sore revolution. A blend between desire, fury, confusion and excitement. An introvert may often seem frustrated, ignorant, grumpy, hot-headed, feeling blue and so on . . . when in fact, they are over – emotional and maybe more willing to help than an extrovert may seem!
Not always in the mood to go out, never in the mood to be in a big crowd . . .
Not that good at speeches, but always in the mood to write and express their feelings and their hidden words in any way possible . . .
Not to good at socializing anyhow, but great at deep talks, advice and analyzing until the last detail . . .
Not so willing to chat on the phone with you all the time or not at all, but always there to listen . . .
Does light or noise make you feel drained? Crowded places make you feel like feinting?
You’re the last who takes initiative, although you would love to, but you’re just not sure you can really do it? You like it best when you work by yourself, in a peaceful place or just when the music you like is on?
You like spending time with family/ friends/ neighbours, but your solitude lies in the solitude?
You love being all by yourself, doing it alone, your way, but loneliness somehow, tears you apart because you’re not quite the one to go for the small talks due to the fear of not saying something wrong, but you also fear loneliness?
People often take you as being upset or angry when in fact you are just quietly observing?
introverted/ extroverted or shy?
Most people believe that shy and introvert are synonyms, but no, that is not the case. A shy person can be an extrovert, as well as an introvert. On the other hand, the difference between shy and introverted is that shy people avoid socializing our of fear of the unknown and of being judged or made a fool of, but when that is gone and they get familiar with the initial odd situation, their extroverted side can come to life, otherwise, the introverted people feel drained, tired, confused and at risk.
“Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering – because you can’t take it in all at once.”
Are introverts misunderstood?
That is the case for many people, but when it comes to introverts, overcoming this can come alongside a long, full of “traps”, complicated path. When inside your head a revolution is about to start and the army is no other than that of your own thoughts, what will be the decision you will make up your mind to?
ALSO, what if you are an ambivert? Then, you can have the best of both worlds, more or less. Just, always have this friendly reminder in your mind: You are not alone, nor weird or unwanted. You are unique, wherever you are an introvert, ambivert or an extrovert and each and one belonging to any of the three categories deserves to be cared, listened and respected.
It’s never too late to start over. If you weren’t happy with yesterday, try something different today. Don’t stay stuck. Do better.
When you’re out with friends, you usually order food you have tried before and you feel confident it?
What if a stranger, all of a sudden starts talking to you?
You have your moment when you feel like talking and not stopping too soon? Or you have one of those moments when you just feel like having a long monologue to let others know you still . . . exist?
Are you more of an out going person after an exam period, just to exhale the stress with those who have gone through the same thing? Or more of a home-alone-netflix and chill person?
Birthday star or work until it’s over person?
- What if you find out somebody likes you . . . and you like that person too?
- a. Speak your words and say you feel the same?
- b. Tell friends about your admiration
- c. Keep that to yourself and observe from the distance for a while, until guts come over fear?
Do you know what you really hide inside yourself? This might help. 🙂
